Yes — each home may keep up to four domestic pets (dogs, cats, or other usual household pets), and they can’t be left to roam. The governing documents specifically prohibit Pit Bulls, Rottweilers, Mastiffs, Presa Canarios, and any crossbreeds, and a dog that becomes a nuisance (for example, persistent barking) must be addressed by its owner.

Leasing is allowed but regulated: a home cannot be leased during the first year of ownership, the minimum lease term is 30 consecutive days, and no home may be rented more than three times in one year. An Association lease application is required. That is friendlier to seasonal renters than a 55+ community, but it is not set up for nightly or weekly vacation rentals.

Many homes have private or shared boat docks on the lakes, and the community also has a dedicated Boatyard for boat and trailer storage — you sign an Association storage agreement, pay the fee, and display the Association’s numbered decals on the vessel and trailer. Powerboats up to 26 feet are permitted on the lakes.

Parking is limited to standard passenger vehicles, SUVs, golf carts, and pickup trucks with no more than a two-ton payload that fit in your garage; commercial vehicles must be kept in a closed garage. Overnight parking is prohibited on community streets and in the spaces serving the docks, Beach Club, and Boatyard, and you cannot park on lawns or block sidewalks.

Yes. The Quarry Community Development District appears as a separate <em>“Quarry CDD — Community Improvement”</em> line on your Collier County tax bill. Across 2025 paid tax bills I reviewed, that assessment ran roughly <strong>$2,050–$2,820 a year</strong> for most single-family homes, villas, and condos (for example ~$2,051 on Marble Stone Dr, ~$2,504 on Everglades Dr, ~$2,586 for a Quartz Cove condo, ~$2,819 in Ironstone), while a premium Phase-2 estate lot carried about <strong>$5,420</strong>. Every parcel also pays a flat ~$262 county solid-waste assessment. The CDD blends bond debt and operations, so the amount is set by lot and product type — give me the exact address and I’ll pull the current CDD line and any remaining bond balance for that parcel.

HOA cost is the master/Beach Club dues plus any sub-association dues, so it varies with home type. Recent MLS listings show roughly <strong>$1,924–$2,535 per quarter</strong>, with total recurring fees around <strong>$8,000–$17,000 a year</strong> once a sub-association is included. Optional golf carries its own separate initiation and dues on top. Locals once called the land “Piper’s Pasture,” a hunting ground of open scrub. It later became an active limestone rock quarry — as recently as 1981, crews were still excavating limestone (used in construction across Southwest Florida) from what is now Stone Lake. Centex Homes acquired the property in 2005 and built the community around the lakes.

The community is built around three connected freshwater lakes — Stone, Heritage and Boulder — totaling roughly 500 acres, with Stone Lake alone about a mile long. Because they were carved from a solid-limestone excavation rather than dug as retention ponds, they are unusually deep and clear for Florida. There isn’t an official published depth figure — confirm specifics with the association if it matters for your use.

Yes. Owners and guests can fish from their private docks or from a boat, outside the marked swimming and ski areas; fishing is not allowed from the community docks. It’s catch-and-release only (except invasive species), a Florida fishing license is required, and fishing for profit or with paid outside guides isn’t permitted.

Yes — this is one of very few Naples communities with a genuine ski scene. Boulder Lake has a USA Water Ski & Wake Sports–sanctioned slalom course used for tournament-style skiing (approved towboats only; jet skis are kept out of the course). Powerboats up to 26 feet, wakeboarding and wake-surfing are allowed lake-wide, with a 40 mph maximum and no-wake zones within 150 feet of shore.

The Quarry Golf Club’s par-72 course was designed by Michael Hurdzan and Dana Fry and opened in 2007, with water in play on nearly every hole and Sea Dwarf Paspalum turf. A restored dragline crane sits above Hole #5, a reminder of the mining era. The course hosted the PGA Champions Tour’s ACE Group Classic in 2010 and 2011, won by Fred Couples and Bernhard Langer.
