Hiring electrical in Naples
- Federal Pacific (Stab-Lok), Zinsco, Sylvania, and Challenger panels are routinely flagged on 4-point inspections; many carriers won't bind coverage until the panel is replaced. Check the brand before you buy.
- Homes wired mid-1960s to mid-1970s may have aluminum branch circuits. Approved remediation (COPALUM or AlumiConn connectors) can satisfy insurers without a full rewire — ask which method the electrician uses.
- Florida is lightning country. Whole-home surge protection at the panel is modest relative to what it protects — AC boards, appliances, pool equipment — and worth discussing on any panel job.
